2016 Fall Inter School Cricket Tournament

Cricket for Cubs successfully hosted 3rd edition of Inter-school tournament over the weekend of 12/17 and 12/18.

 

In this edition of tournament, there were eight middle school teams: Harvest Park Middle School, Pleasanton; Fallon Middle School, Dublin; Iron Horse Middle School, San Ramon; Windmere Middle School, San Ramon; and Gale Ranch Middle School, San Ramon.

Three elementary school teams took part: John Green Elementary School, Dublin; Hidden Hills Elementary School, San Ramon; and, Amador Elementary School, Dublin

 

After 20 games in three different grounds with the help of numerous parent volunteers and youth members, the middle school final was played between Harvest Park Middle School and Fallon Middle School with Harvest Park taking the title. Ajay Immadi from Harvest Park won the MVP award, Kanish Bhalla from Harvest Park was selected as best batsman award and Siddhant Wani from Fallon Middle the best bowler award in middle school categories.

 

The Elementary School final was played between Hidden Hills Elementary and Amador Elementary school Hidden HIlls winning the championship. Vikram Ravi from Hidden Hills won the MVP award, Gatik Trivedi from Hidden Hills the best batsman award and Ayush Bhatgare from Amador Elementary the best bowler award.

 

On hand for the closing ceremonies were Nadia Gruny, USA women cricket captain; Srihari Dasarathy, former USA U19 cricket team opener; David Haubert, Dublin City Mayor; Jerry Thorne, Pleasanton City Mayor; Kathy Narum, Pleasanton Vice Mayor; Scott Parkins, San Ramon City Vice Mayor; and Sridhar Verose, Parks and Community Service Commissioner.
